Fantasy Story: Akila & the Beast

here is a story for you all to enjoy!! remember... comment!! =]

Once there was a teenage boy from a tribe, named Akila. He lived in the great World of Xenon. In the World of Xenon, all the boys who have reached the age of sixteen have to earn their right to be a man. To earn their manhood, the boys have to go into a portal which will open up in front of them, when all 3 moons are aligned in a straight line.
Akila was a 16 year old boy who lived as a hunter. One day, as Akila was busy hunting, a magical portal appeared in front of him. Akila was terrified. Then Akila remembered that he had to earn his rights to his manhood through the portal.
With his heart full of doubt and fear, Akila stepped into the portal praying he would be able to make it back. Akila was scared as he had heard that some people never came back at all after disappearing into the portal. Akila had also heard that the challenges were based on their weaknesses.
As soon as he stepped in, he realised that all the rumours about the challenges being based on their weaknesses was indeed true. Standing right in front of him was a 40 foot beast with 3 heads, 10 arms and 4 legs. His greatest fear of meeting an extraordinary beast had now turned into reality.
Standing there facing the beast, Akila instantly knew what his challenge was. His challenge was to kill his greatest fear. Akila turned around and started running towards the portal but the portal was already closed. He waited for the portal to open up again but it didn't take him long to figure that his only way out was to kill the beast.
Akila began trembling from head to toe. He knew he had to face his fears or he would die of hunger. He could either die of hunger or die fighting. After thinking through, he decided that he would rather die fighting than die a coward.
He took out the spear he had and began sharpening it. Akila knew he had to use tricks to be able to defeat the beast. So he watched the beast and planned his steps carefully.
Akila noticed that the only vulnerable part of the beast was it's belly. Soon he was ready to fight for his life. He charged towards the beast and thrust his spear into the beast's belly. The beast roared in pain. It took Akila up with it's hand and threw him to the ground. Then it slashed Akila's body with it's sharp claws.
As Akila lay there motionless, he was happy. He was happy because the beast continued roaring in pain and its intestines were spilling out. Akila was satisfied. He could finally die fighting the battle of his life and ear his manhood.
